Bien Vivre

My host mom, Barbara, ironed ALL my clothes (including my jeans and pajamas) yesterday, and in the evening she showed me how to make a soufflé. Could life be any better?


  1. Oh my gosh. Barbara is spoiling you. You'll have to make us a souffle when you return. Are there any seasonal dishes she's preparing now that it's fall, such as soup or mushrooms? Mom

  2. I haven't had too many autumn dishes yet. We had the raclette last week. I went to a friend's house last night and had a squash (perhpas butternut?) soup, and I had fondue for lunch today in a restaurant. It was quite indulgent! Bernache (drink, not dish) has started hitting the shelves, so I hope to taste that. I will keep you posted on any other seasonal dishes I have.
